Senior Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at Ondo Finance, you'll build and scale infrastructure that powers the next generation of financial products—both onchain and off. The backend team is responsible for the APIs, services, and tooling that sit between users and decentralized protocols, enabling seamless, secure access to RWAs (Real World Assets) and DeFi strategies. You'll work across systems that manage everything from token onboarding and investor flows to bridging and custody integrations. You'll collaborate closely with product, smart contract, and frontend teams to define robust interfaces and deliver high-performance applications. Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable, secure backend systems and APIs for interacting with both onchain protocols and offchain infrastructure - Work across systems managing token onboarding, investor flows, bridging, and custody integrations - Establish and enforce backend engineering standards, best practices, and security protocols - Collaborate with product, smart contract, and frontend teams Requirements: - 4+ years of backend software engineering experience - Strong familiarity with modern languages such as Go (Golang), Python, C++, and TypeScript - Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, and API development - Experience integrating with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and security/compliance-sensitive systems - Demonstrated interest in Web3 or DeFi; familiarity with EVM-based blockchains is a plus
